Gather Partners with OpenTable, Expanding Its Restaurant Booking and Event Planning Capabilities

Gather customers will be able to promote their event spaces to the hundreds of thousands of people visiting OpenTable Private Dining pages each year.

Gather, a leading events platform for the hospitality industry, today announced it has partnered with OpenTable, the largest provider of online restaurant reservations, to make finding and booking an event a more seamless experience.

OpenTable is the world’s leading provider of online restaurant reservations, with more than 50,000 restaurants globally using its software to seat over 120 million diners monthly. OpenTable’s Private Dining program helps diners easily find a space to host a private event and makes it easy for restaurants using OpenTable’s reservation program to market and manage leads for their private dining program.

The Gather Booking Network allows restaurants and venues to tap into a larger audience by providing more ways to promote their businesses in the top places where event planners and diners go to find and book events. The partnership also streamlines the booking flow between the diner and participating restaurants.

Through this partnership, private dining leads will flow straight into Gather. This way, restaurants can respond instantly and manage all of their leads and events from one place. Along with getting access to more event planners, Gather clients can also now track how many OpenTable Private Dining leads turn into successful events and see its impact on their business as a whole.

Since its founding in 2013, Gather, which is based in Atlanta, has grown to more that 100 employees, has raised more than $50 million in funding, and has amassed a client roster of more than 5,000 venues nationwide and powered millions of events.
