Boostly, a provider of automated SMS marketing and feedback solutions for restaurants, has raised $22 million in growth capital. The funding round was led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from existing investors Y Combinator, Trestle Partners, and Singularity Capital. This Series A round follows a $5.6 million Seed round six months earlier, reflecting the company’s rapid growth and increasing market presence.
The new investment will be used to enhance Boostly’s platform, which leverages first-party customer data to help restaurants improve marketing effectiveness and drive revenue. By automating SMS-based marketing campaigns, Boostly enables restaurants to reach customers with personalized, behavior-driven messaging. The company claims that its gamified engagement strategies significantly outperform traditional text marketing in terms of response rates and customer retention.
Boostly’s platform integrates data from multiple sources to build fully opted-in marketing audiences. The company states that this allows restaurant owners to automate marketing efforts, re-engage past customers, and foster long-term customer loyalty. The platform also provides revenue attribution and analytics tools designed to give restaurant operators clear insights into their marketing performance, allowing them to measure impact and optimize future campaigns.
The restaurant industry is undergoing a shift toward digital engagement, with many businesses collecting vast amounts of customer data but lacking the tools to utilize it effectively. Boostly aims to bridge this gap by offering an automated, data-driven marketing solution that converts customer interactions into actionable insights. According to the company, its patent-pending process accelerates SMS subscriber opt-in rates and enables restaurants to generate incremental revenue through targeted campaigns.
Boostly currently works with over 1,200 restaurant locations across the U.S. and Canada, demonstrating growing adoption of its technology. The company was founded by Shane and Mikey Murphy, experienced entrepreneurs in the restaurant technology space. Their previous ventures include building and selling an online ordering platform and leading a restaurant operations software firm.
In a press statement, Shane Murphy, Co-Founder and CEO of Boostly, emphasized the importance of providing restaurant owners with a marketing system that operates efficiently and delivers measurable results. He noted that many restaurant owners juggle multiple responsibilities and need solutions that require minimal manual effort while still driving revenue growth. Boostly’s automated approach to SMS marketing aims to provide this level of convenience and effectiveness.
Since its founding in 2017, Boostly has expanded its suite of marketing solutions to include automated SMS campaigns, AI-powered phone assistants, and real-time customer feedback monitoring. Headquartered in Lehi, Utah, the company continues to develop tools that help restaurants maximize their customer relationships and marketing efficiency.
