AccorHotels, a leading travel and lifestyle group operaing in more than 4,300 hotels, resorts and residences, as well as in over 10,000 private homes around the globe, has announced the acquisition of ResDiary, a technology platform for restaurant reservation and table management. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Launched in Glasgow in 2004, the table reservation system now has over 100 staff based in six countries. ResDiary provides venues with a high-end table management solution, using technology that optimizes their food and beverage revenues and helps control operational costs. Its yield and channel management tools are designed to help restaurateurs maximize revenues, while limiting booking fees by controlling availability displayed on third-party channels.
ResDiary’s key platform capabilities are designed to do the following:
- Effectively manage tables. Maximize restaurant capacity with smart table optimisation and yield management, available on multiple devices.
- Gain online reservations. Allow guests to quickly and easily book from the restaurant’s website, social media platforms, and ResDiary platforms.
- Optimize revenues. Discourage no-shows with pre-payments, ticketing, deposits and tokenization.
- Extend the restaurant’s reach: Better control marketing with built-in tools.
ResDiary is well established in the Asia Pacific region as well as in the UK, and has a footprint in 60 countries globally, reportedly seating 166 million diners a year in over 8,600 venues. According to a company spokesperson, the company has generated profits for six years and will now expand across AccorHotel properties. AccorHotel operates in 100 countries. Its portfolio includes internationally renowned luxury brands such as Raffles, Sofitel Legend, SO Sofitel, Sofitel, Fairmont and onefinestay.
