Qwick, an on-demand staffing platform focused on the food and beverage industry, launched its first Midwest market in Chicago. Amidst a period of nationwide staffing shortages, Qwick is serving as a tool for Chicago’s vibrant tourism and hospitality industry, providing quality, reliable talent for the city’s thousands of businesses and high-quality jobs to thousands of service professionals. Qwick is changing the way people work by creating a platform that provides gig workers seeking on-demand jobs with businesses that need them.

“Chicago’s hospitality industry is second to none and we’re excited to be expanding Qwick into a new region,” says CEO and Co-Founder, Jamie Baxter. “During this historic time when businesses are facing nationwide staffing shortages, we look forward to growing and seeing how our services positively impact the city as well as provide food and beverage professionals an opportunity to supplement their income all with just a simple tap on their phones.”

Qwick has already onboarded 8,000 Chicago food and beverage professionals to offer businesses an on-demand workforce, transforming how businesses hire and manage the familiar challenge of finding quality staff. The company has also already partnered with several reputable businesses in Chicago, helping them cut labor or recruitment costs and allowing them to solve chronic understaffing.

“Having roots in Chicago and a passion for its vibrant hospitality and innovative workforce, I’m confident Qwick will thrive in this forward-thinking city,” says Chief Revenue Officer, Jill Erickson. “We’ve already formed several notable partnerships and are working vigorously to help as many businesses as possible overcome understaffing and professionals earn extra income.”

Qwick has seen a remarkable comeback over the past year from its restaurant, country club, casino, hotel, and catering Business Partners in Phoenix, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, New York, Miami, and Atlanta. In August 2021, the company reported a 1608% increase in revenue compared to August 2020, an average of 37% month-over-month growth, and consecutive “best months ever” in July and August. Qwick is growing rapidly to meet demand in hospitality-driven cities, and following its Chicago launch, the company expanded into Orlando, Tampa, and Los Angeles, and will open in additional cities later this year.
