The Big Greek Café, the Maryland-based brand known for its authentic, casual Greek dining rooted in family and community values, announced today a partnership with Deliverect and Thanx to modernize its digital ordering and loyalty operations across its U.S. locations.
Going live on the integrated Deliverect and Thanx stack, The Big Greek Café gains a unified system where loyalty, digital ordering, and fulfillment are fully integrated. The combined platform is designed to address the operational challenges in menu management and platform reliability the brand faced as it scales nationwide, while allowing it to fold its loyalty program directly into the ordering experience rather than keep it siloed.
“Our guests know us for hospitality, and our digital ordering needs to hold up to that same standard,” said Niko Kontos, Chief Operating Officer of The Big Greek Café. “We were spending too much time fixing menus and working around problems instead of taking care of guests. Deliverect and Thanx give us a digital ordering platform we can rely on and a loyalty program that is part of the experience, so a first visit turns into a second and a third.”
One Integrated Stack for Ordering and Loyalty
Together, Deliverect and Thanx deliver first-party ordering at enterprise scale, on more than 550 POS systems. Ordering and fulfillment are built to work across every location, and the guest experience is designed to turn those orders into repeat visits.
The Deliverect Commerce API powers ordering on the brand’s own mobile app and website. It handles the complexity that comes with scale. It manages menu, checkout, and payments across locations with different hours, pricing, and fulfillment setups, and supports the menu structure operationally complex brands require: nested modifiers, size-based pricing, dayparted and day-of-week menus, and different pricing for pickup versus delivery. When a location gets busy, prep times automatically adjust rather than forcing the team to turn off ordering.
Deliverect Dispatch gives The Big Greek Café delivery on its own app and website without running a fleet. Each order is routed to a courier automatically based on the brand’s configuration, so the brand offers delivery on its own channels without negotiating courier contracts market by market or handling marketplace invoicing.
Thanx powers the guest experience and loyalty. The mobile app and branded web ordering run on Thanx, with loyalty built into checkout rather than a separate sign-up, so guests are recognized from their first order and the brand builds real purchase history on every order. Automated campaigns use that history to turn first-time guests into regulars, and targeted rewards replace blanket discounts so the brand grows frequency without giving away margin.
Deliverect’s Third-Party Order Aggregation & Menu Management allows restaurants to run one menu across every channel they sell through. A price change, a new LTO, or an 86’d item is updated once and reflected everywhere, including marketplaces, where orders flow straight into the POS. Dynamic pricing and automated menu scheduling let the brand easily configure pricing and availability by channel and daypart.
Full Network Roll-Out Launching Soon
The Big Greek Café will be launching Deliverect and Thanx’s full digital ordering stack across its entire U.S. network.
“The Big Greek Café has built something special, a brand customers genuinely love. Our job is to ensure the technology powering their digital ordering experience is just as reliable and easy to love, so every order and loyalty interaction runs seamlessly. We’re thrilled to partner with The Big Greek Café and Thanx to power what comes next,” said Noah Hayes, VP Sales at Deliverect.
As The Big Greek Café prepares for a full network roll-out, the partnership brings together two companies with a shared focus: turning one-time orders into long-term guest relationships.
“The Big Greek Café has spent more than 15 years earning repeat visits the hard way, one guest at a time,” said Zach Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Thanx. “Our job is to make that easier to do at scale. When loyalty is built into the ordering experience instead of bolted onto it, more guests join, more of them come back, and the brand doesn’t have to buy that frequency with discounts.”
